Board Construction

CORE

All Pioneer boards are a hybrid core, featuring Poplar, Paulownia and Bamboo. To pair with this Ultra-Lite, Durable and snappy core we add specific patterns of carbon fiber to increase pop, edge hold and flex in certain areas of the board.

Sidewalls

Pioneer uses High Grade urethane for sidewalls as well as UHMW. Urethane sidewalls help increase board dampening, edge hold and a consistent flex. We like to use this for those reasons but to also give it that "Broke in Feeling" right out of the box. UHMW gives our boards the skate like feel, durability, and snappiness we all love.

Fiber

All boards are built with triaxial fiberglass. Triaxial fibers offer a nice soft, torsional and longitude flex that is very consistent. This helps our boards still have the ability to feel "buttery" even if you are on a AMF board.

Base/Topsheet

All bases are a sintered base to increase durability. Topsheets vary from a matte finish to a gloss finish per model.
